From Jasper, take Highway 96 North approximately 5 miles to CR 249.
You will see "Jasper Roadhouse" at CR 249
Turn right off Highway 96. The road will curve to the left. Cross over a small bridge,
and take the second right after the bridge to CR 253. It is approximately 6/10 mile from
Highway 96 to CR 253
Pavillion in the Pine is located on CR 253
There will be signs on Highway 96 as well as CR 253 to direct you.

The top 40 boaters and co-anglers from the South Central region of American Bass Anglers will be in Jasper for the 2009 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series South Central Regional Championship, October 12th-17th, 2009. This region consists of Texas SouthEast, Texas East, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Host for the event is the City of Jasper.

Anglers and co-anglers official practice days will begin at safelight Monday, October 12th and conclude Thursday, October 15th at 3:00pm. Tournament days begin at safelight Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th, 2009, with weigh-in at 3:00pm both days. Location for blast-off and weigh-in will be Umphrey Pavilion. The residents of Jasper and the surrounding areas are invited to come out and watch the excitement as anglers anxiously await their final placement and the opportunity to advance to the National Championship.

The top 50 boaters and co-anglers from this regional will advance to the Bassmaster Weekend Series National Championship at Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas. There is no entry fee for the National Championship and the contingency awards are through fifty places on the boater and co-angler side. There is also a possible $205,000 top boater award and $102,500 top award for the non-boater. The boater champion advances to the 2010 Bassmaster Classic.
